British tabloid The Sun has published pictures in which Doherty looks as if he is forcing his cat to inhale smoke from a crack-pipe. He is said to have held the pipe to the animal’s mouth until it fainted.

The Babyshambles frontman owns a cat called “Dinger“, which gave birth to five kittens in April. Since then, the animal has been subjected to Doherty’s drug experiments, the Sun reported. It also quoted a friend of the singer saying Pete finds it extremely funny to get the cat high on drugs - he has even built an extra-small crack-pipe from a bottle so that the cat can get a full hit.

The eye-witness reported that the cat is already suffering from withdrawal symptons – apparently it often loses its balance and takes crazy risks like jumping over objects that are too high. He is sad to see the cat believing it can fly.

Doherty had reportedly told friends after his break-up with Kate Moss, that the cat is the only one who understands him. He had even sent a picture of Moss with “Dinger“ to the supermodel in the hope that this might spark a re-union. Doherty is currently in rehab and due to appear in court for drug posession soon.
